Serving the Children of the World

About Kiwanis International

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. Kiwanis is for people who want to get personally involved in the community, the nation, the world.  We achieve together what an individual cannot accomplish alone.  Since 1924, Kiwanis International has been guided by six permanent objectives:

  1. To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than the material values of life.
  2. To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule.
  3. To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business and professional standards.
  4. To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive and serviceable citizenship.
  5. To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to enduring friendships, to render altruistic service and to build better communities.
  6. To cooperate in creating and maintaining sound public opinion and high idealism which makes possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism and goodwill.

Kiwanis International Headquarters are located in Indianapolis, Indiana USA.

Kiwanis International celebrates 100 years (1915 to 2015) as a global organization helping to serve the children of the world.
